SYNOPSIS
Born in a dangerous neighborhood in Cali, Colombia, Felipe dreams of becoming a professional soccer player to help his single mother. But when violence and the harsh realities of his environment derail his future, he transforms from a street survivor into the mastermind of a global criminal empire only to discover that power, once gained, demands a price no one can escape.
The Same Damn Story is not simply a crime film.
It is a story about destiny, identity, and the invisible forces that shape the lives of those born into violence.
Growing up in environments where opportunity is scarce and survival becomes the first priority, many young people find themselves navigating systems that were never designed for them to succeed. Felipe represents the complexity of this reality: a brilliant mind born into circumstances that push him toward power, influence, and ultimately moral conflict.
Visually, the film will contrast the raw energy of Cali and the Pacific coast of Colombia with the sleek global environments of Miami, New York, and Dubai. These locations represent Felipe’s transformation from a young man shaped by the streets to a strategist operating on a global stage.

CHARACTERS
FELIPE: Magnetic, silent, poetic, and lethal. A disruptive intelligence. An urban strategist with a martyr’s soul. His story is not about redemption it’s about fate.
DIANA: Hitwoman and double agent. Romantic at heart, cold when needed. She loves Felipe, but also spies on him. Her love is both her weapon and her curse.
CARLOS: Ex-military mentor. Embodies structure, discipline, and guilt. He trains killers, not knowing he's building monsters.
LUCÍA: Right hand. Former guerrilla turned strategist. Political, observant, idealistic, but weathered. Believes in change from the shadows.
MARCO: The fire. Felipe’s bodyguard. Brash and impulsive, from Buenaventura. Dies defending what he believes is just.
JAIRO: The ice. Sharpshooter. Calm, lethal, almost spiritual. Believes silence is a form of war.
LUIGI: International mafia boss. Italian-Colombian. Manipulative, theatrical, and soulless.
PAUL: Luigi’s right hand. Cynical, calculating. Always survives, even if everyone else falls.
ABOUT US
This story is inspired by real events and created by the Colombian actor and producer Jeison Hurtado Moreno, what motivated the creation of this story: I was motivated after I saw the repetitive cycle that many young people live in the marginalized neighborhoods of Cali and around Colombia and Latin America.
Why The Same Damn Story.
That name came to my mind after hearing the tragedy of a young man whose uncles and cousins had died in the same way and almost in the same circumstances.
The mission of this project is to create awareness through the impactful message that this story has, which surely when it premieres will call the attention of some and they will feel identified and touched by the substance of the message.
